DERM TODAY

SO it was my dermatology check up...I went in asked him what he thought about my face... I personally feel that he sees so many faces each day he wouldn't remember one from another.. anyway.. I told him I was going to have him start to work on my lower left jaw  spots and the keratosis spot, but they disappeared.. he looked puzzled..   so I  explained what I did, he is a doctor so of course he was skeptical... after all  there is no job security in having skin clear up on it's own purely through diet, vs treatments with freezing, drugs etc.. haha.. we had a brief conversation after I told him it is a starch based diet, but   he wasn't too interested overall.. he told me   he didn't need to see me again unless I needed some spots removed.. hehe.. hopefully i won't!  yay

EXCITED~

Almost every day now I receive a note, letter, email or phone call from someone who has experimented with this plant based diet plan.
They are always positive and surprised and amazed at how they feel and how easy it is to  change a diet lifestyle...

It makes me so happy and I feel so  fulfilled in my life to be able to share what has worked for me and my family, with  you...With so many "miracles"  happening all around me just due to diet, it is something I can't hold back talking about.

Keep up the good work everyone,  your body will love you for it, and you will age oh so gracefully!

THIS DOES WORK~ for everyone

I keep hearing " glad you found something that works for you" well having been designed to be a starch eater,  what else would "work" for me?

It isn't about  amounts or calories, or giving up something it is about what your body is crying out to you to feed it. Crying out? yes,   any diseases  you may have that are  diet related  (  diabetes type 2, arthritis, bowel problems, cholesterol, blood pressure etc) are  your body crying out to you to STOP WHAT YOU ARE PUTTING INTO IT.  I apologize if   my ranting offends anyone, but having watched my family be "healed" by plants is enough for me to carry on a blog to discuss and chatter about it.

My brother is a "star mcdougaller" read his story
http://www.drmcdougall.com/stars/050514jeffarmstrong.html

and then I personally have experienced a complete turn around in my health, energy, skin, weight etc...I can't say enough, I admit I am a zealot :)  ( is that a good thing?)

good luck to anyone brave enough to make a lifestyle change away from an unhealthy diet to a healthy full lifestyle of  energetic living...

PHIL MICKELSON~ professional golfer wish I could share this with him!

I heard on the news this morning that Phil Mickelson ( a professional golfer) was diagnosed with psoratic arthritis. I wish so much I could share  this  plant based diet information with him  so he could get better. His wife is also battling breast cancer ( as I read on facebook?) if they only knew!

My father was cured of his rheumatoid arthritis 30 yrs ago, just by staying away from ANIMAL products... I watched it with my own eyes... and  as for me, I have no pain at all anymore in my body since I did away with animal products...it's such an easy fix...

That is the only BAD THING about this lifestyle, it's hard to talk to people because they  don't want to change what they believe is right and healthy ( or not)... all we  can be is examples to them. It's hard not to  be a zealot for something that works miracles and is so simple as diet change...it sometimes makes you feel so dumb that you weren't paying attention to your body screaming out for help...

YIPPEEEEEEE ~ doc apt today... results are in!

Ok, I lost 32 lbs, my cholesterol went from 188, to 150, my A1C was 6.5 and is now  5.2, that is the blood test that tells what your blood sugar was over the past 3 months, so  it shows I am no longer diabetic.

the PA (physician's assistant) seemed impressed and asked what I did, so I was able to share my  plant based diet experience with her.  She was however not interested enough to find out  who or how or books or dvd's on it, and said she was glad I found something that worked for me.

This works for hundreds of thousands of people, and  Dr. McDougall hasn't found anyone yet that it doesn't work for, unless they just aren't interested in pursuing it.

anyway.. I am happy!

dinner out

We went to dinner last night at the university for a Mystery Dinner fund raiser. What did you  eat? you asked...well they had an enormous salad, with some italian dressing,  pasta with cheese ( no thanks) and bread sticks ( buttered yes) so I had 3 bowls of salad, then since everyone kept going back up, I had a plate of salad, and  4 breadsticks.. LOL.. My tummy was a bit sluggish after eating the buttered sticks, but sometimes you just can't control things...and once in a while, it just doesn't matter!

today I got right back to my regular eating, I feel great even so!

BS this morning 109... not bad for a bread dinner and somewhat oily salad at  8pm!

What's really cool is~

I  sort of put my back out yesterday helping my poor old dog up as she had  fallen in the snow, and couldn't get up.  It's all good, it's an old injury from when I was a nurse...

Well normally when my back is "out" I am pretty much out of commission because I hurt all over anyway.. well I don't hurt anywhere anymore, so the back thing seemed  pretty easy this time!

amazing what plants can do for ya !

DAIRY~remember, this is liquid meat...so is yogurt, cottage cheese and butter

so stay away from it!

Meat, animal protein, casein, whey, and a myriad of other names for it is NOT good for you...so stay away from it.  It causes your body to be more acidic the place where cancer LOVES to grow and other diseases thrive.  Don't take that chance with yourself...let your body be the happy body it can be by eating plant protein.

The more you dabble with keeping just a little bit here and there in  your diet, the harder time you will have getting away from any  cravings you  will have from it...the salt and fat will cause you to fall off the starch wagon!

Ok enough ranting for now.. eat healthy stay healthy!! have a great day !

It seemed a while since I had actually lost weight via the scale measurement BUT;

I still felt great, thin and fit well into my less fat fatty pants...  last night we  went to cheddar's for dinner, dad and I had the veggie platter, baked potato, corn, broccoli, carrots, salad, it was so delishhhh...I was a bit annoyed that my pants fit a bit tight...THEN checked the label, I had grabbed my skinny pants  I had a bit of trouble with just a week ago!! yay!!!

This morning found two more pounds gone.. so don't get discouraged...remember a lifestyle change is for life..    your body will adjust as it needs to...

If you are a bit frustrated, just  cut out breads,  and refined flours. Eat pasta maybe once a week...that will help a lot.. and do away with wheat as much as you can.

My brother told me he lost 10 lbs almost immediately when  he completely gave up wheat...

GOOD LUCK, keep on vegging out!
